citizen called back regarding DPW000166720--he says traffic speeds thru and there arent any speed limit signs--he is requesting signs like the ones near Bellevue (blue and they say slow down please drive with) -logos City Richmond -Vision Zero/Richmond Connects he has pictures he can forward

DPW must use the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) for all highway signs. This is a national manual used by all states and localities. “Slow down” signs are not in the MUTCD therefore are not planned. You may want to call DMV at 804.497.7100 for these type signs. DPW will plan to install a 25mph sign on Melrose Ave between Brook Rd and Chamberlayne Ave.
