Description

Requesting the addition of stop signs on Overbrook at the intersection of Overbrook and Ownby to make a 3 way stop. The cars parked along the street make visibility difficult- even when driving in a taller truck. Vehicles also speed regularly down the street and the stop sign would address both issues. I think there is a near miss accident at this intersection at least every day if not multiple times everyday.

The Department of Public Works must perform engineering studies in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of Overbrook and Ownby does not meet the traffic requirements for an all-way stop.
