Description

Requesting intersection of Evansway Lane @ Ashdown rd/Domino Rd be made into a four way stop for the safety of pedestrians accessing the sidewalk on Evansway Ln. Previous request was closed for not meeting traffic requirements, HOWEVER... per Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) page 79, Section 2B.17, Point C "Where pedestrian and/or bicyclist movements support the installation of all-way stop control." This is a very dangerous intersection for pedestrians and cyclist!

Eight-year DMV crash history shows no reported crashes. B. Sight Distance a. Meets the minimum design sight distance standard for the posted 30 mph speed limit. C. Transition to Signal Control or Transition to Yield Control at a Circular Intersection a. Not applicable D. 8-Hour Volume (Vehicles, Pedestrians, Bicycles) a. Does not meet the minimum required volumes for eight hours of an average day. E. Other Factors a. There is no need to control left turn conflicts. b. Neither Ashdown Rd nor Domino Rd is classified as a collector. c. Pedestrian and/or bicyclist movements are minimum and do not support the installation of all-way stop control.
