Description
24Th st right off Semmes is a SERIOUS issue for speeding. We have neighborhood cats that are outside and well taken care of. This neighborhood needs a speed bump on our road, we’re not interested in why the city can or can’t, we are requesting a safe street to live on free of speeders. This request will not stop until there is something done. We don’t care how long the street is or whatever, put a speed bump on our street.

- Staff · February 15, 2024The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. W. 24th St between Semmes Ave and Perry St measures about 700’ so DPW is not currently planning a speed table. DPW will plan to install 25mph signs in each travel direction.
