Description
Wildly dangerous intersection as a pedestrian! The cars on Jefferson dont treat it as a roundabout and SPEED through as though its a straightaway. They dont yield before entering the circle, and absolutely do not let pedestrians safely cross the road. One car let me cross, and the oncoming traffic did not, so I had to wait in the middle of the road for a stream of 10+ cars drive by me before I could safely finish crossing. Something needs to be done to make this safer before the worst happens.

- Staff · January 30, 2024New Jefferson Avenue improvement projects are in progress between Marshall St and 25th St. The scope of work includes traffic calming, pedestrian improvements, green infrastructure, landscaping plus other multimodal improvements. They will be designed and built as funding is provided. In the interim DPW will field review and make sure applicable signs and markings are present and in good condition.
