Description

This intersection is dangerous. There is a stop sign on Front st that many cars ignore and makes it dangerous for the children, walkers, & cars driving down 2nd Ave. A lot of cars driving up and down 2nd Ave. also speed to and from the circle at the end of the street. Please make this a four way stop to create a safer place for our families.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of 2nd Ave and Front St does not currently meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop. A speed table is planned on 2nd Ave between Burns St and Pollock St.
