Description
Every request i make gets sent to Afshin who never actually answers my question or addresses the issue. All this person says is “no speed tables” even though I’m not asking for them and they close every request immediately. Great, no speed tables. Got it, we can move on. How about literally any other idea? Isn’t this your job? Is there anybody else that works there or am I stuck with Afshin? This intersection is dangerous.

- Staff · January 24, 2024Speed tables are not currently planned for Brookland Park Blvd which carries over 8,200 vehicles a day, classified as an urban minor arterial and is a strategic route for emergency vehicles. Traffic control devices that are present at the Brookland Park Blvd intersection with Richmond Henrico Turnpike include: - Advance “trail crossing” signs. - Crosswalks at the intersection. - “State law stop for pedestrians within crosswalk” signs. The DMV crash data between 1.1.20 and UpToDate in 2023 shows four reported “angle” type crashes with two in 2020, one in 2021 and one in 2023. Given the pattern of “angle” crashes DPW will plan to install intersection ahead warning signs in each direction on Brookland Park Blvd in advance of Richmond Henrico Turnpike.
