Description
I am a homeowner near the intersection of Floyd and Allen in the Fan. I am concerned about the speed of traffic on Floyd, especially in front of Dogwood Middle School. The removal of a 4-way stop at the intersection in favor of a traffic calming roundabout has only resulted in confusion, several accidents, and lots of cars speeding through the intersection. This is in front of a middle school with no school zone speed limit signs, and the school bus stop for Fox elementary is on the corner.

- Staff · January 3, 2024The traffic circle replaced the all-way stop around 2016. The DMV crash records from 1.1.17 to up-to date shows one reported crash in 2019 and one in 2022. The traffic circle is planned to remain. Staff will field check the regulatory and warning signs for visibility.
