Description

Since there has been an increase occupancy on this part of Overbrook Road and in the northside area (more vehicles), we, as a school, are asking for a traffic calming assessment to insure the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and parents. We would love to see some measure put into place (speed humps installed or flashing lights put up to signify a school zone) to help curb the amount of traffic on this part of Overbrook Road or slow the cars and trucks down.

Overbrook is functionally classified as an Urban Collector and a strategic route for emergency vehicles, so speed tables are not recommended. The section between Brook and I-95 overpass has 25mph signs in each direction and bump outs in the area of Seven Hills School property. Google street view did not show any 25mph signs in the section between I-95 overpass and Hermitage Road but 25mph signs will be installed.
