Description
The neighborhood would like to request "No Thru Traffic" signs to be placed on the ends of Augusta Ave. facing Malvern Ave. and Lafayette Street, so drivers do not use Augusta Ave. as a shortcut to get to the downtown expressway. Many children live on Augusta Ave. between Malvern and Lafayette, and drivers speed through the residential neighborhood to avoid traffic that forms on Broad Street during rush hour. Thank you!

- Staff · December 19, 2023DPW does not plan to sign “No Thru Traffic” signs on Augusta Ave between Malvern Ave and Lafayette St because all public streets are open for public travel in the absence of a crash history. The latest five years of DMV crash data show no reported crashes on this section of street. If the neighborhood desires and the local City Council Representative supports DPW can convert Augusta Ave between Malvern Ave and Lafayette St to one-way westbound.
