Description

The traffic light at auburn turns green after the smaller street next to 7-11 gets a green light. This causes confusion for pedestrians walking in carytown. They often start walking across auburn before they get the walk sign. People start crossing when the auburn light turns green, causing cars and people to be trying to go at the same time. I would sugges the light of auburn to turn green first then the small road turns green second to cause less confusions.

Leading pedestrian intervals (LPI) are active at the traffic signal at Cary and Auburn. The LPI gives pedestrians the opportunity to enter the crosswalks several seconds before the green indication for vehicles. No additional changes are currently planned.
