Description
This is right by a student dorm and people speed and turn without looking incredibly frequently. It is a risk to many students. There absolutelty needs to be more signage for pedestrian crossing at these crosswalks, specifically crossing s belvidere. I, and many other students, have almost gotten hit by turning vehicles while in the crosswalk with a walk sign. Yield and pedestrian crossing signs NEED to be put up for student safety.

- Staff · December 20, 2023The latest 3 ½ year DMV crash history showed one reported pedestrian crash at Belvidere and Cary. The traffic signal has pedestrian signal indicators and marked crosswalks. This signal also has a leading pedestrian interval which starts the walk time a few seconds before the vehicles receive the green. No additional pedestrian signs are planned at this time.
