Description

The timing of this traffic signal is a significant danger to pedestrians crossing E Main St. I am frequently nearly hit be vehicles turning left that do not look for pedestrians. Currently the pedestrian signals turn white/go at the same time the light turns green. The green light needs to be delayed 5-10 seconds after the pedestrian light turns white/go to provide enough protected time for pedestrians to cross the first half of the crosswalk before left turners arrive in the crosswalk.

Dear Citizen, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At the time of your request, our team reviewed the intersection and confirmed that all signal functions are working as designed. The intersection is operating within an acceptable level of service, and pedestrian and vehicle movements are functioning according to the signal design. As no further action is needed at this time, I am closing this service request.
