Description

My car was hit today while parked legally. This is the second time in 2 years that a speeding car has totaled a parked car on this block. Speed control measures need to be placed on this small residential street.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on Rose Ave between Yancey St and Graham Rd for a 48hour period averaged around 27mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned.
