Description

I see vines, vegetation and plants growing on and over VDOT signs, pavement markings AND guard rails located between 4501 Huguenot Road & 8201- 8202 Riverside Drive @ the North-bound Riverside Drive “exit ramp” @ the South side of the ST RT 147 / Huguenot Bridge. Cut, prune & improve this site before the Nov. 11, 2023 RVA Marathon event. Vines should NOT grow up and on VDOT signs. MAINTAIN this area when cutting grass beneath and around the Huguenot Bridge area. PLEASE. Thank you. Wed: 08-14-2024. The North-bound “Riverside Drive “off-ramp”, @ the Huguenot Bridge “underpass” should be maintained by the RVA DPU & DPW “grounds staff”. Guard rails are overwhelmed by vegetation and vines along sections of roadway. No sidewalk or alley is located at this site. RVA 4th District residents should NOT be responsible for mowing, maintaining & clearing a guardrail along a VDOT & RVA State Highway “off-ramp”. This area needs professional RVA staff & safety equipment. Please. Wed: 08-14-2024.     Area was inspected on 10/31. Traffic signs are not obstructed at this time. Ticket referred to Grounds for grass maintenance along exit ramp going from Huguenot Road to Riverside Drive.
