Description

This intersection has an adjacent playground, public transit stop, and is near a school, and there are two new apartment buildings nearby so pedestrian traffic has increased significantly. At this intersection, Libbie ave is a 4-lane divided road, so it is a very wide road to cross. Dangerous and challenging for many people and kids to cross. A painted crosswalk here, possibly with crosswalk signage and crosssing light, would make the intersection much mess dangerous.

Discussed with the City Pedestrian, Bicycle and Trails Coordinator. He recommended a CIP project to make changes to the configuration and consider a rectangular rapid flashing beacon. This is an unfunded project.
