Description

Hello, 20th street is still a race track between Fairmount and O street.. We watch cars speeding up and down 20th street literally all day long. There are children and pets long this whole stretch of road. Now that you've put a speed hump on 22nd street, we see increased traffic speeding on 20th and 21st. We have spoken with a neighbor on 21st who has the same issues. We NEED speed humps on 20th and 21st as well. PLEASE!

The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on 20th St between Fairmont Ave and Q St for a 48 hour period averaged around 28mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned.
