Description

Greetings, I live on the 1200 block of N. 20th St (between Fairmount and R Streets) and I am inquiring about conducting a speed assessment. There is constant excessive speed and crashes on 20th Street between and Fairmount and R Streets. I would like to know if you would install speed bumps and a middle striping on the 1200 block of N. 20th St. Thanks.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on 20th St between Fairmont Ave and Q St for a 48 hour period averaged around 28mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned.
