Description
Due to the large number of accidents at this intersection, creating an all-way stop here would increase safety. I’ve the course of a year living in an apartment overlooking this intersection, I witnessed at least 4 accidents, all caused by a driver running the stop signs on E Marshall. Adding an additional stop for traffic on N 18th St would prevent these accidents from occurring, as well as help reduce speeding on N 18th st which is a big problem too.

- Staff · October 24, 2023The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection of N 18th St & E Marshall St does not meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop. No parking zones are present on 18th St south of Marshall St to increase intersection visibility.
