Description

The intersection of Semmes Ave. and W. 34th St. currently has a crosswalk painted on it, with yellow crossing signs to alert drivers traveling both directions on Semmes to yield to pedestrians. However, drivers routinely do not notice or do not heed these signs, resulting in dangerous ambiguity for pedestrians attempting to cross Semmes. I am writing to request that the city consider installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons or a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon at this existing crosswalk.
