Description
Dundee Ave between Midlothian Tnpk & Semmes needs speed mitigation! People use it as a cut through BECAUSE there are no stop signs. There should be speed bumps and there should be crosswalks and there should ve enforcement of the 25 MPH speed limit. There are children walking to school every morning and most residents park on the street so there are people around.

- Staff · October 24, 2023A traffic circle is at the Dundee Ave and Crutchfield St intersection. The distance between the Crutchfield circle and the stopped condition at Midlothian Turnpike is about 730’. The distance between the Crutchfield circle and the Semmes Ave traffic signal is about 900’. The focused approach to speed management considers speed tables on streets at least 1200’ in length. On streets below 1200' speed tables are not effective as the prevailing speeds are lower on short segments. Speed tables are not planned. The use of “Children at Play” signs is discouraged by state and federal transportation departments. These signs also may give families a false sense of security.
