Description
People turning right off of Belvidere onto Cumberland consistently ignore or fail to realize there is a stop sign or crossing pedestrians at the intersection of cumberland & laurel, bc they only see the stop light at the following intersection on Cherry st. I walk and drive through this intersection everyday and have never felt more fear of getting hit by a car than at this one. It is GAURENTEED that I see at least one or more people blow through it every day when I am approaching it.

- Staff · October 17, 2023Cumberland St westbound at Laurel St has two Stop Ahead signs, two Stop signs, two all-way signs, a stop bar from curb to curb and a crosswalk. An eight-year search of the DMV crash data base showed one reported pedestrian crash. No further signing or marking is planned on Cumberland westbound at this time.
