The Department of Public Works (DPW) reviewed the crash history (1.1.15 - 12.31.22) for the intersection of Decatur St and E. 15th St. The eight year crash history revealed one reported crash on June 15, 2018. DPW also reviewed the all-way stop warrants as described in the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). (The MUTCD applies to all streets open to public travel.) This intersection does not currently meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop. To address speeding concerns along Decatur St, a speed table exists on Decatur St between 16th St and 17th St. An all-way stop exists at Decatur St and 14th St. E. 15th St is a one-way street approaching Decatur St from the East and has a stop sign at Decatur. To enhance safety DPW will plan to add a stop bar on E. 15th St and install No Parking signs on the corners of Decatur St at E. 15th St to increase intersection sight distance.
