Description

Cars, trucks, and four wheelers speed constantly down Broad Rock Road. There is a pedestrian crosswalk as well as children that live around the area so this is putting a lot of people at risk.

DMV crash records show one reported pedestrian crash in an eight-year search on Broad Rock Rd between Blake St and Decatur St. Google street view shows crosswalks at both intersections. The Fire Marshall does not support speed tables on Broad Rock Rd because it’s functionally classified as an Urban Principal Arterial caring about 9600 vehicles a day and a strategic route for emergency vehicles. Broad Rock Rd also has marked bike lanes. No further actions are planned at this time.
