Description

The intersection of Riverside Drive and Southampton Road should be a three-way stop. There is a large amount of traffic accessing the Huguenot Flatwater Entrance. When coming down Riverside Drive to turn onto Southampton, there are a lot of blind spots due to trees and foliage. You must pull out into the road to make certain you are clear from traffic on Southampton. I would like for there to be three stop signs at this intersection (only one exists now).

The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. This intersection does not currently meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop.
