Description

Despite the mild speed-bumps on West Avenue, we are experiencing an increase in vehicles violating the speed limit. West Avenue is a short three-block one way street with a heavy population of young children.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on West Ave was 22mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned for West Ave.
