Description

People speed up and down 20th street all day!! It’s very dangerous. School busses and pedestrians use R Street all day. We’ve seen many near accidents.

    The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on 20th St between Fairmont Ave and Q St for a 48 hour period averaged around 28mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned.
