Description

There is a huge, old tree on the north side of River Road growing on a dirt bank. It seems to be mostly dead. There are huge holes at the bottom of the trunk. The dirt of the bank has eroded. At least one half of the tree is not supported by the earth. It looks as if it could fall at any time, crush passing traffic and kill occupants of a vehicle. PLEASE have someone go soon to assess this situation, as it looks imminently dangerous. The current situation looks worse than this photo. Thank you.

    The tree in reference is not maintained by the City of Richmond. It is under the responsibly of the homeowner. In addition, the tree is not obstructing the right of way.
