Description

Please add speed tables along R Street to slow traffic down along R Street. Several cars throughout the day treat the segment between 25th and 31st like a drag strip, in spite of the stop signs. A hazard for a high traffic pedestrian street with no sidewalks.

The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. R St stops at 26th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st. Speed tables are not planned given all of these stopped conditions along R St.
