- Staff · August 8, 2023We have investigated this location; this work is the responsibility of the Department of Public Utilities (DPU); the hydrant lead is cracked and needs to be replaced; DPU is developing a plan; due to the location of the main, when repairs are undertaken, it will be necessary to shut down water service to the 3700 block of Cary Street and the surrounding 2-3 blocks; this effort will take a little extra coordination and planning effort; thank you for your patience.
