Description

Cars fly down Cedar Lane, cutting from Forest Hill over to Westover Hills Blvd. This has accelerated in the last two years, since the speed table on Prince George was put in. We are the only north-south street in the neighborhood that has houses on it. We have lots of kids and dogs on our street, and residents park on the street. Traffic calming would greatly increase our safety.

The 85th percentile speed, the speed that 85 percent of drivers travel at or below, is one of the best indicators of a reasonable and safe speed. The 85th percentile speed on Cedar Lane between Forest Hill Ave and New Kent Ave was measured at 27 mph. This sample is in compliance with the posted 25 mph speed. Speed tables are not planned at this time.
