Description
Requesting speed control devices along entirety of McCloy but especially near the interstate exits. Drivers constantly drive well above the posted 25mph speed limit coming to/from the interstate

- Staff · August 8, 2023McCloy in the residential section between Maplewood and Cary has the following: - Posted at 25mph - All-way stop at Idlewood - The distance between Idlewood and Maplewood is about 600’. DPW follows the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program guidelines for the installation of speed tables on City streets. The minimum street section measurement for consideration of a speed table is 1200’ of free follow traffic. Given the stopped condition at Idlewood and distance to Maplewood a speed table is not planned at this time. - 85th percentile speed of 28mph between Grayland and Parkwood which does not justify a speed table Traffic calming is not planned on McCloy between Maplewood and Cary at this time.
