Description
Hello - I received this note to my (closed) traffic calming request "A speed table is not planned given the stopped condition at Perry." What does this mean? 29th is a connecting road between Perry (Bainbridge) and Semmes, and people FLY down this road. There is a new park with lots of children playing, homes with children, people walking their dogs, and more. People run the 1 ONE stop sign there is on this road. It's ridiculous. Please help.

- Staff · August 8, 2023DPW follows the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program guidelines for the installation of speed tables on City streets. W 29th St is one-way westbound between Bainbridge St and Semmes Ave, measures about 1450’ with stops at Perry St and at Semmes Ave. W. 29th St between Bainbridge St and Perry St measures about 700’. W. 29th St between Perry St and Semmes Ave measures about 700’. The minimum street section measurement for consideration of a speed table is 1200’ of free follow traffic. Given the stopped condition at Perry St and the distance between stops DPW is not planning a speed table on W. 29th St.
