Description

This intersection needs a pedestrian crosswalk marking. Heavy pedestrian and car traffic and most drivers blow right through the stop sign. I was recently hit by a car here after a driver fully ran through the stop sign. Strong consensus in the neighborhood that not enough is being done by the city to calm through-traffic in this area and it is resulting in injuries and deaths.

This intersection is similar with other all-way stop intersections that don’t have marked crosswalks. The latest eight-year DMV crash history does not show any reported pedestrian crashes at Broad St and 28th St. It’s the law that motorists must stop at stop signs and must stop for pedestrians.
