Description
Request 4 way stop to be added at the intersection of 2 26th and Q st. Currently it is a 2-way stop for 26th st traffic. Recent no-parking signs were added along Q st. near the intersection but they are ignored by residents of 2600 block of Q St. without penalty, making it a blind intersection when traveling south on N 26th st. People often speed here to catch the light at 25th and Q. A 4-way stop would provide a safer scenario for turning traffic, make entering safer, and reduce speeding.

- Staff · July 28, 2023The Department of Public Works (DPW) must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before installing an all-way stop. All all-way stops must meet the warrants in the MUTCD. The intersection does not currently meet the traffic volume requirements for an all-way stop.
