Description

Frequent speeding and reckless driving on 48th Street. I now won’t let my kids play in the yard and putting them in the car puts them at risk of being hit by a speeding vehicle. I worry about the safety of pedestrians coming in and out of nearby businesses. In 11 months since moving to the street, vehicles have plowed through the 48th and Dunston Ave traffic circle twice, knocking down signage. I’ve been honked at and cursed at by drivers multiple times for just backing out of my driveway.

    A speed table is planned for W48 between Westover hills Blvd and Dunston Ave. We recently received approval from Fire Department. (Paving schedules may change and the Department cannot be any more specific at this time due to utility work and emergencies.)
