Description

Citizen says that there needs to be a traffic light at this intersections. There are frequent and massive accidents at the location. Traffic also gets backed up this intersection because there is no guidance.

    The Department must perform an engineering study in accordance with the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) before proposing a traffic control signal. Warrants in the MUTCD Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices must be met. This is a federal publication that applies to all streets open to public travel. This intersection does not meet the conditions set forth in the MUTCD for a traffic control signal.
