Description

There are many accidents and illegal maneuvers at this intersection and I think additional pavement markings, noted in the areal image, will help greatly. I think many of the accidents are a result of constant bearing - decreasing range. Where a blind spot is created by the windshield frame by crossing cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9WF7ol17Ag

I have started my investigation on this request. I emailed the requester and asked him to clarify the type of pavement marking which he is requesting, because the intersection is clearly marked recently.

Dear Citizen, Thank you for sharing your concern with us. The intersection is clearly marked and has been assessed as safe. Over the past three years, based on DMV and VDOT crash reports, there have been only four recorded incidents at this location: two involving non-visible injuries, one with property damage only, and one resulting in injury. We will maintain close monitoring of the intersection over the next 12 months to ensure ongoing safety. At this time, no further action is deemed necessary. Thanks Sayed Adel
