Description

Cars race on Belmont between Grove and Floyd trying to make the light on Grove. There are numerous young children on this block and it is clearly a safety hazard. Request a speed table on this section.

The focused approach on speed management in the City’s Neighborhood Traffic Management Program first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length in a tangent section without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Belmont Ave between Floyd Ave and Grove Ave has a traffic circle at Floyd and a traffic signal at Grove. The distance between Floyd and Grove measures about 430’. Speed tables are not planned.
