Description

People literally speed down this street every day and it’s terrifying. Speed limit is 25mph and people go at least 40mph most days on this stretch. There is a park and school nearby as well as a church on the corner where families and children frequent.

The focused approach to speed management first considers the distance of a free flow street of at least 1200’ in length without traffic signals, existing traffic calming measures or stopped conditions on the major street. Overbrook between North and Fendall has traffic signals at both intersections and measures around 1000’ therefore speed tables are not planned. Overbrook will be field checked for regulatory 25mph signs.
