Description
Can we find alternative speed control measures than speed tables/humps? I'm tired of constantly going over humps to get to and from my house. Plus the tables are a pain on the bike. What other options are there?

- Staff · August 7, 2023* The Department follows Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) guidelines for the installation of any physical traffic calming measures on City streets. * In level 1 traffic calming measurements, education can be a logical first step to address speeding concerns, as in many instances, the drivers observed speeding or driving recklessly are residents of the neighborhood. The community can advocate and use educational tools that encourage their local drivers to slow down. * Level two traffic calming measures include physical devices such as curb extensions, speed tables, neighborhood traffic circles, and others listed in the guideline and suggested by FHWA. The Department uses these devices per engineering study.
