Description

I’m sure you’re aware of of the speeding issues throughout our neighborhoods on the Northside. I’m writing because I’d like to have a speed table/hump installed on my block of Griffin Avenue and surrounding streets. We have had multiple animals killed by cars speeding well over the posted 25 mph, which I believe is way too fast for some on the one way narrow streets.

    The Department follows Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) guidelines for the installation of any physical traffic calming measures on City streets. Griffin Ave between Westwood Ave and Ladies Mile Rd measures approximately 750'. Therefore, we are not planning any physical traffic calming measures for this short segment at this time. The Department will field review to make sure the exist speed limit sign is in good condition.
