Description
The sidewalks on Princeton Road are in significant disrepair. The sidewalks on Pope Avenue, immediately adjacent to Princeton Road, are currently being replaced. There are many elderly residence who live on Princeton Road who cannot use the sidewalks because they are in such disrepair.

- System · December 20, 2023(2nd) Caller 12/20/23-for same request - Brenda Stankus (804 664-6979) - Caller states there is an hold on the grassy part of the sidewalk and the street. The hole supports the wires for the lamp posts. A hole heavy duty plastic covered the hole and cover was cracked by a large truck. A portion of the cover fell in the hole over time and the remaining cover is cracked the edges has a jagged edge. The hole is 18 inches long and 12 inches and 13-15 inches deep; only 5 inches is left of the cover. The caller states the hole is large enough for a child to fall in and an adult to break a leg or fracture an ankle. Caller also states at night no one can see the hole and is an immediate danger for residents. Agent transferred call to DPU who indicated the request was sent to DPW in July and stated she would resend the complaint again today. Agent spoke with Daphne in DPU
