Description
The citizen states that the vehicle drops off of the uneven sidewalk when pulling into the driveway. It may cause damage to the vehicle. Also this area is a trip hazard

- Staff · August 20, 2024There is no driveway at this location, and it is a violation of city code to drive a vehicle over the curb and sidewalk where no driveway exists. If the citizen wishes to install a driveway, they must apply for a permit (see city codes below). The sidewalk repair will be conducted according to the rating system and safety hazard concerns. Sec. 24-170. - Construction permit required. Any owner of land who desires to construct a sidewalk crossing for purposes of providing pedestrian or vehicular access to such land shall first obtain a permit in accordance with Section 24-62 and shall thereafter be authorized to use the street, sidewalk or other public way for the purpose specified. This grant of authorization for use of the street, sidewalk or other public way is subject to any and all applicable limitations, terms and conditions imposed or provided for under this article and to any other applicable provision having the force of law. No further work shall be performed after the permit for such work has been revoked or has otherwise ceased to be in force and effect. Sec. 27-197. - Parking prohibited in specified places. (a) No person shall park a vehicle, except as may be permitted in accordance with Chapter 24, Article II, Division 5 or when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or traffic control device, in any of the following places: (1) On a sidewalk. (16) On a curb, or with any wheels off of the roadway and on the far side of the curb from the roadway.
