Description
Something needs to be done about the traffics light at the intersection of Grove & Libbie Ave during early morning hours. The light is red for at least five full minutes for those traveling on Grove Avenue, towards Three Chopt. There should be a sensor or something put into place during the early early morning commute. There’s never any cars traveling on Libbie when this light takes the five minutes to cycle through to a green light for those on Grove Ave.

Due to the heavy traffic at Grove Ave caused by the closure of Cary St during the sewer construction project, traffic has been detoured thru Grove Ave. This is causing Grove Ave to be oversaturated, hence more green time has been granted to this corridor. The Transportation Engineering Division has been monitoring the traffic condition and making adjustments in the timing as needed. No further action is needed at this moment. Request willbe closed.
