Description
Speeding on Semmes is becoming more and more of an issue. It is a hazardous road that needs to be calmed with infastrcuture changes or speed enforcement. Please make this the residential street it is inteded to be not some commuter raceway.

- Staff · May 22, 2023Recent and future improvements planned on Semmes Ave between Cowardin Ave and Forest Hill Ave follow: - The posted speed is 30mph and is signed with $200 enhanced speed fines as approved by a City Council Resolution. - Pedestrian hybrid beacons are planned at these locations: o Semmes Ave at Fire Station #17 o Semmes Ave at 28th St o Forest Hill Ave at Carson St. - A new traffic signal is planned at Semmes Ave and 34th St as a part of a safety project at Semmes Ave and Forest Hill Ave. - The RPD is aware of speeding concerns.
