Description

Add an additional left turn lane on westbound Brookland Parkway at Arthur Ashe Boulevard. When bike lanes were added and Bookland Parkway changed to one lane there is not enough room for more than three or four cars to make a left onto SB Arthur Ashe Boulevard. With more traffic because of Scotts Addition growth there is more traffic than this light is able to handle without adding another left turn lane. When 10 cars are at the light only 3-4 are able to turn! Thanks

Forwarded your request for another left turn lane on westbound Brookland Parkway at Arthur Ashe Boulevard to the Department of Public Works’ Capital Improvement Plan Coordinator for consideration in the next Capital Improvement Plan. Area planning documents have identified a roundabout for the intersection of Arthur Ashe Blvd, Hermitage Rd, Westwood Ave and Brookland Parkway. This improvement project is currently unfunded.
