We are requesting a new speed limit on 19th St. from E. Broad St to E. Cary St. to reduce the speed limit to 20 miles per hour.

    There are no plans to reduce the speed limit on 19th St. The statutory speed limit is the legal speed limit unless otherwise posted on the highway. In business and residential areas, the statutory speed limit is 25 mph.
