The posted speed limit on nearby Ruffin Rd is 25 mph, and the average speed was found to be 30 mph. The City’s transportation engineering resources are primarily focused on the High Injury Network, which is where the City’s serious injuries and fatalities are concentrated. (https://www.rva.gov/public-works/vision-zero) Fortunately, Danbury Rd and the surrounding streets are not on that network.
