Recent and future improvements planned on Semmes Ave between Cowardin Ave and Forest Hill Ave follow: - The posted speed is 30mph and is signed with $200 enhanced speed fines as approved by a City Council Resolution. - Pedestrian hybrid beacons are planned at these locations: o Semmes Ave at Fire Station #17 o Semmes Ave at 28th St o Forest Hill Ave at Carson St. - A new traffic signal is planned at https://cityworks.rva.gov/cityworks/Assets/icons/save-16.pngSemmes Ave and 34th St as a part of a safety project at Semmes Ave and Forest Hill Ave. - The RPD is aware of speeding concerns.
